Before Shiny Hunters it was difficult to find people to play with for events, or to learn about where groups were meeting up to play. Now that I discovered the group I always know when events are happening and where to go for the best places to play. Since joining shiny hunters my pokemon go experience has enhanced by me actually getting out and playing in new areas, for example community days and drive by raids. They have gotten me out of my bubble that I used to play in which has enhanced my catches and how I play.

I have been in the communtity for maybe 6 months it has really helped with figuring stuff out and all of the people are all very nice and polite. They are always there when needed and making the game a whole lot better dont know what I'd do with out. It is cool that they bring people in to the communtity and give away they are very inclusive and happy that they are here. Glad to have them.

Before joining the Shiny Hunters & Campfire, I like so many, was a lone wolf in the pursuit of pokies.
But since then have had the pleasure of gaining experience, friendships, knowledge, been part a most amazing group of earthlings, and had alot of successful raids. The admin team is SPECTACULAR, in setting up meets, arranging trade days, organizing maps, ect and has gone above and beyond, to make this adventure one to REMEMBER. It's a huge part of my world......And I am grateful each day I play, to have such a great bunch of dedicated people leading the way.

Throughout my time in shiny hunters I’ve got to met people I never would’ve been able to, I got to join in events I never would’ve been able to take part in, I got to make friends and fit in with a group of people which I something I haven’t done before. Through the shiny hunters group I’ve learnt about community and learnt how to play the game, I’ve become more confident in myself in being able too socialize, and through some of the people I’ve met I’ve been able to get a job and start hanging out with some of them outside of pokemoning. I managed to get my Mom into Pokémon go, we’ve been out exercising regularly, I’ve joined campfire groups in places I’ve travelled and I’ve caught Pokémon I never would’ve been able to without the group. I can’t thank the group enough for what it’s done for me and maybe one day I can be a Com Ambassador to give back to them

Being connected with the shiny hunters group has changed a lot about the way I play Pokemon go. I used to stay home alot because I don't know a lot of people in the city but when I found the shiny hunters group, I knew I found people that loved the game just as much as I did and would give me lots of opportunity to get out and catch pokemon that I have never been able to catch before. If it weren't for people in this community I wouldn't have caught any of the shiny legendaries I have now. If this community didn't exist, a lot of people would never even play the game. Campfire has become such a vital part of how people play Pokemon go that I don't think it would be able to stand on its own without it. The people organizing meetups is what gets me out of the house. If I know a lot of shiny hunters are gonna be in my area I know I have a solid chance to get a bunch of raids done that my pokemon can't handle. It's important to support players who might not have played as much in the past.

I was not able to go any raid as well as group meet up because I live in Scarborough. After getting one of my friend in pokemon go I went to a raid and realized what I miss the whole time. It is a great experience as we all can know each other by communicating. They are really friendly and helpful and the best part is every raid I do with my group members I get a shiny pokemon

I have never enjoyed being apart of something so much before in life. The shiny hunters ( Oshawa based ) group is so incredibly welcoming, encouraging, funny, and most importantly SAFE community. The efforts that go into making groups, seeing the leaders interact with everyone and make everyone feel at home is something that has encouraged me to continue to keep playing the game and even get friends to come join some meets. I look forward to raid hours and spotlights so I can meet up with the group as genuinely this game is a lot more enjoyable when playing in numbers. Not only has the meets encouraged me to play the game more, but has helped me get out in the sun and become more active which is something I was medically in need of- so thank you. I have social anxiety and have trouble meeting new friends. As a newer player and a person of color, I was scared people would be not welcoming or cold towards me, but that was not the case. I feel like shiny hunters group helped me work on my anxiety with the very friendly and warm interactions I had at the local meetups. I did the Lugia Driveby, Thunderous Spot Light hour, Beldum Day etc and had a great time. I also really like the Infograph’s the members post in the group help me visualize all the upcoming raids and events. It really helped me in the rocket quests when it showed me what Pokémon to use against Giovanni and the helpful tidbit about getting rid of the move frustration from your shadow Pokémon. Thankfully I saw this and was able to remove the move frustration from the shadow lugia I caught in the drive by raids the group was hosting. Everyone was friendly and helped me work on my throws and gave me very helpful pointers and tips on playing the game. I also really like the diversity of the members at the different functions I went to. There was people of all colours, genders, walks of life etc. I am very grateful for finding this group and extremely honored at being a part of the group.
